Associate Director of Social Media

The Associate Director of Social Media will serve as the strategic leader on organic/earned/owned social media campaigns for 3Q clients nationwide. Catering to the truly entrepreneurial, this role will involve building a line of service from the ground up. This individual will be responsible for growing the channel and team from inception. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in scoping, developing and managing sophisticated and innovative social media and influencer campaigns across platforms and in multiple verticals.

Job Requirements

  • Be a true expert in what is traditionally known as “organic” social.
  • Have a strong point of view on measuring the ROI of this channel
  • Be able to articulate the value of social media investments
  • Build a variety of large scale social media campaigns from conception to ongoing execution, strategy and analytics
  • Scope and build content calendars across all major social platforms
  • Develop and execute response protocols for community management and engagement across social platforms
  • Implement a standardized report of channel metrics for clients
  • Mentor and/or manage junior team members on overall social media management, strategy, optimization, reporting, etc.
  • Manage influencer marketing campaigns
  • Execute social media contests, sweepstakes, promotions, partnerships
  • Determine the tools and tech requirements for social media management
  • Understand the intricacies of all major social platforms and stay on the cutting edge of new/upcoming platforms
  • Able to manage multiple large sized clients autonomously.
  • Able to audit social media accounts and benchmark a client’s social media presence against core competitors
  • Capable of confidently presenting to existing and potential clients
  • Develop and optimize media plans and audience targets for paid amplification efforts to align with client KPIs
  • Demonstrate a clear passion for social media, and a strong point of view on its importance in the channel mix
  • Actively collaborate with cross functional teams including Paid Social, SEO, Native Advertising, Creative, etc.

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of social media marketing & account management experience
  • Has scoped and managed social media in an agency setting. Strongly prefer the candidate to have extensive agency experience or similar.
  • Has extensive experience managing influencer relationships and outreach
  • Has experience in content ideation, development and promotion to drive strategic initiatives (content marketing)
  • Has extensive experience in response protocol and community management, particularly on creating from scratch & receiving stakeholder agreement
  • Has managed a social media team of 4+
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms and analytics suites (Facebook Power Editor, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge and point of view on social posting, listening, and monitoring platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Radian 6, Mention, Spreadfast, Keyhole, Nuvi, etc.)
  • Experience with Social app tools (Heyo, Woobox, etc.)
  • Has worked across several verticals and all social platforms
  • Has a unique and industry-leading point of view on how to measure social media efforts
  • Has managed a creative team or creative workflow process
  • Has played a role in developing or coordinating with brand personas, style guides, brand books, etc.
  • Strong, professional verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent writing and strategic content creation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and ongoing work items; while effectively managing changing priorities and time management.
  • Ability to identify and lead strategy for new opportunities and platforms on social media
  • Innovative and proactive, collaborative team player & strong communicator.
  • Has a collaborative approach to social, pushing multi-channel ROI alongside paid social, SEO, native advertising, creative teams, etc.
